2014 Squarek Digital Art Catalog

My 2014 art catalog features eighteen of my limited-edition works. I developed the catalog to facilitate the presentations I will be making to establish permanent exhibitor status in one or two galleries across Canada and to arrange at least one solo exhibit in 2015. I expect to have more than twenty-five unique pieces by that time.

Looking back to late 2012 and the spring of 2013 I realize that that short space of time represented heady artistic discovery for me. I spent those cross-over winter months in relative seclusion experimenting with my newly chosen art form; in my tiny, circa 1890s salt-box in Lunenburg, N.S..

Through the summer and into the fall of 2013 I unveiled my creations to friends and family and tested their commercial viability in a quaint coastal boutique in Lunenburg. I was pleased by the level of acceptance in both forums.

Buoyed up I renewed my quest over the winter months of 2013-2014. My successful Hillcrest Mine Disaster commission this spring impressed upon me the importance of developing a solid concept at the outset and then following that with thorough research, detailed creative execution, and museum quality Giclee production.

The catalog contains my late 2012 and early 2013 pieces along with six newly completed works from late 2013 through to July 2014. I complete a new painting on average every two to three months. Here's a look, to the right, at three of the catalog pages and six of the new additions. You can click on each of the pages for a larger view. I will be updating my on line gallery in the next few weeks whereby you will b able to see all fifteen limited-edition pieces.

I intend to continue the concept/research/create/produce process; striving for excellence in each area.
